Het kleine boek van Noor

1. Het is avond in de woonkamer.

   It's evening in the living room.

2. Noor wil iets moois maken.

   Noor wants to make something nice.

3. Ze fluistert: "Laten we een doen en een kleine maken."

   She whispers, "Let's do one and make a small one."

4. Mama Lara pakt de van de plank.

   Mama Lara takes it from the shelf.

5. Sam lacht en maakt een van Noor.

   Sam laughs and makes one for Noor.

6. Noor tekent een vrolijke voor de eerste bladzijde.

   Noor draws a cheerful picture for the first page.

7. Ze plakken alles in een zelfgemaakt.

   They paste everything into a homemade book.

8. In het boek staan drie lege vakjes, en Noor denkt na.

   In the book there are three empty boxes, and Noor thinks.

9. Ze vraagt: "Wie is de held, en wat doet hij of zij?"

   She asks, 'Who is the hero, and what does he or she do?','Ze vraagt: Waar is de foto van opa?'":"She asks, 'Where is Grandpa's photo?'

10. Dan merken ze dat de batterij leeg is, maar Noor blijft rustig.

    Then they notice that the battery is empty, but Noor stays calm.

11. "Geen nieuwe foto vandaag," zegt Sam, "maar we tekenen met woorden en lijnen."

    "No new photo today," says Sam, "but we draw with words and lines."

12. Noor lacht en tekent rustig verder.

    Noor laughs and continues drawing quietly.

13. De batterij was leeg, maar ze hadden een goed idee.

    The battery was dead, but they had a good idea.

14. Samen vertellen ze het verhaal hardop, en mama leest het boekje voor.

    They tell the story out loud together, and Mom reads the little book aloud.

15. Noor vraagt zacht: "Is dit einde mooi genoeg?"

    Noor asks softly, 'Is this ending nice enough?'

16. Sam knikt, en mama geeft Noor een knuffel, want het verhaal is klaar.

    Sam nods, and Mom gives Noor a hug because the story is finished.

17. Noor sluit haar ogen, en de woonkamer wordt stil en warm.

    Noor closes her eyes, and the living room becomes quiet and warm.
