Maya and Grandma’s Age Story

1. There is a soft lamp by the sofa in Grandma Anna's living room.

2. The evening is calm and warm.

   Der Abend ist ruhig und warm.

3. Maya says, "I am young, Grandma; are you old?"

   Maya sagt: „Ich bin jung, Oma; bist du alt?“

4. Grandma Anna laughs softly and nods.

   Oma Anna lacht leise und nickt.

5. She takes a photo album from the shelf.

   Sie nimmt ein Fotoalbum aus dem Regal.

6. On the rug, there is a red balloon.

   Auf dem Teppich liegt ein roter Ballon.

7. Maya picks it up, but the balloon is flat and sleepy.

   Maya hebt ihn auf, aber der Ballon ist platt und schläfrig.

8. "I want to make the room pretty for your stories," she says.

15. "Awesome," Maya whispers, and she puts it near the album.
