Mehmet'in Kartpostalı

1. Mehmet odasında oturuyor.

   Mehmet is sitting in his room.

2. Bu akşam mektup arkadaşı Arda'ya bir kartpostal yazmak istiyor.

   She wants to write a postcard to her pen pal Arda this evening.

3. Masasında babasının bıraktığı bir gazete ve kenarda duran küçük bir dijital fotoğraf makinesi var.

   On his table is a newspaper his father left and a small digital camera on the edge.

4. Annesi Ayşe kapıdan gülümsüyor.

   Her mother Ayşe is smiling from the doorway.

5. Mehmet, Arda'nın adresini defterine yazmıştı.

   Mehmet wrote Arda's address in his notebook.

6. Ama defter yok, nerede?

   But the notebook is missing; where is it?

7. Önce cüzdanına bakıyor, sonra odadaki kitaplığa bakıyor.

   First they check their wallet, then they look at the bookshelf in the room.

8. Masadaki gazetenin sayfalarını kaldırıyor, çünkü altında bir şey kabarıyor.

   He lifts the pages of the newspaper on the table because something is bulging underneath.

9. Defteri bulunca rahatlıyor.

   Defne relaxes when she finds the notebook.

10. Ayşe, "Kartpostala küçük bir fotoğraf da ekle," diyor, çünkü Arda fotoğraf çekmeyi seviyor.

    Ayşe says, 'Add a small photo to the postcard too,' because Arda likes taking photos.

11. Mehmet, makinesiyle kitaplığındaki küçük deniz kabuğunu çekiyor.

    Mehmet pulls a small seashell from the bookshelf with his machine.

12. Fotoğrafı masadaki bilgisayarına aktarıyor.

    She transfers the photo to the computer on the table.

13. Bilgisayarda okulun web sayfasına bakıyor ve Arda'nın doğru yazımını kontrol ediyor.

    She is looking at the school's website on the computer and checking how to spell Arda's name.

14. Defterdeki adrese göre kartpostalı dolduruyor ve zarfa koyuyor.

    Defne fills out the postcard according to the address in the notebook and puts it in the envelope.

15. Cüzdanından küçük bir pul çıkarıyor ve yarın postaya vermek için kenara koyuyor.

    He takes a small stamp out of his wallet and puts it aside to mail tomorrow.

16. Ayşe, "Adres doğru mu?" diye soruyor.

    Ayşe asks, 'Is the address correct?'

17. Mehmet, "Evet, doğru," diyor; bilgisayarını kapatıyor ve defteri ile cüzdanını çekmeceye yerleştiriyor.

    Mehmet says, "Yes, that's right." He turns off his computer and puts his notebook and wallet in the drawer.

18. Bugün biraz telaş oldu, ama şimdi odası yine düzenli ve Mehmet huzurla uykuya dalıyor.

    There was a little fuss today, but now his room is tidy again and Mehmet is falling asleep peacefully.
