Hikâye

Elif ve Sıcak Gece

1. Gece, Elif odasında yatağının yanında oturuyor.

   At night, Elif is sitting beside her bed in her room.

2. "Bugün oyuncaklarıma iyi geceler demek istiyorum," diyor.

   "I want to say good night to my toys today," they say.

3. Yatağın üstüne ayıcık, fil, kaplan ve su aygırı diziyor.

   They put a teddy, an elephant, a tiger and a hippo on the bed.

4. Masasında açık bir kitap var.

   There is an open book on his table.

5. Sayfada kocaman bir kutup ayısı resmi duruyor.

   There is a huge picture of a polar bear on the page.

6. Elif resme bakıyor ve gülümsüyor: "Ayı güçlü ama nazik olabilir," diyor.

   Elif looks at the picture and smiles: 'A bear can be strong but gentle,' she says.

7. Rüzgar pencereye vuruyor ve ince bir ses geliyor.

   The wind hits the window and a soft sound is heard.

8. Elif bir an duruyor, biraz ürperiyor.

   Elif pauses for a moment and shivers a little.

9. "Üşüyor muyuz?" diye fısıldıyor ve battaniyesini omuzlarına alıyor.

   "Are we cold?" she whispers, pulling the blanket around her shoulders.

10. Elif beyaz battaniyeyi yatağın ortasına seriyor ve "Burası kar," diyor.

    Elif spreads the white blanket in the middle of the bed and says, 'This is snow.'

11. Ayıcığı karın üstüne koyuyor ve "Sen koruyucusun," diye ekliyor.

    He puts the teddy bear on his stomach and adds, "You are the protector."

12. Kitaptaki kutup ayısına el sallıyor: "Merak etme, sen de sıcaksın," diyor.

    They wave to the polar bear in the book and say, 'Don't worry, you're warm too.'

13. Rüzgar sesi yine geliyor, ama oda artık sakin ve yumuşak.

    The sound of the wind comes again, but the room is now calm and soft.

14. Elif oyuncaklarına tek tek dokunuyor, gülümsüyor ve "Hepimiz güvendeyiz," diyor.

    Elif touches her toys one by one, smiles, and says, 'We are all safe.'

15. Işığı kısıyor, ayıcığına sarılıp gözlerini kapatıyor ve tatlı bir uykuya dalıyor.

    They dim the light, hug their teddy, close their eyes, and fall into a sweet sleep.
