Tess en de dag thuis

1. Het is vroeg in het huis van Tess.

2. Tess ligt nog in bed en glimlacht.

3. Ik doe het zelf vandaag, denkt Tess.

   I'll do it myself today, thinks Tess.

4. Tess staat op en wast haar gezicht.

   Tess gets up and washes her face.

5. Ze trekt een trui aan en kamt haar haar.

   She puts on a sweater and combs her hair.

6. Maar één sok is weg.

   But one sock is missing.

7. Ze wil naar de keuken, maar ze zoekt eerst de sok.

   She wants to go to the kitchen, but first she looks for the sock.

8. Er is brood op tafel, zegt Mama Eva vanuit de keuken.

   There is bread on the table, says Mama Eva from the kitchen.

9. Tess en Sam kijken onder de stoel en vinden de sok.

   Tess and Sam look under the chair and find the sock.

10. Tess eet rustig, helpt Mama met de kopjes, en veegt de tafel.

    Tess eats calmly, helps Mom with the cups, and wipes the table.

11. Na het eten poetst ze haar tanden en leest Eva een verhaaltje voor.

    After dinner she brushes her teeth and Eva reads a story.

12. De dag is rustig en goed, en Tess valt zacht in slaap.

    The day is calm and good, and Tess falls asleep softly.
