1. El dormitorio es tranquilo y cálido.

   The bedroom is calm and warm.

2. Valentina quiere leer su libro rojo antes de dormir.

   Valentina wants to read her red book before sleeping.

3. Hay una lámpara pequeña y una caja azul en la mesa.

   There is a small lamp and a blue box on the table.

4. Valentina mira la cama y pregunta: ¿Dónde está el libro?

   Valentina looks at the bed and asks, "Where is the book?"

5. Hay un osito, un vaso de agua y un calcetín, pero no el libro.

   There is a teddy bear, a glass of water and a sock, but not the book.

6. Valentina busca bajo la almohada y dentro de la caja, y no lo ve.

   Valentina looks under the pillow and inside the box, and she doesn't see it.

7. Ana, su mamá, entra y habla bajito: ¿Puedo encender la lámpara?

   Ana, his mom, comes in and whispers, "Can I turn on the lamp?"

8. La luz es suave, y la habitación se ve clara.

   The light is soft, and the room looks bright.

9. Con la luz, Valentina ve sus cosas: la caja, el osito y una mochila.

   With the light, Valentina sees her things: the box, the teddy, and a backpack.

10. Ana dice: Mira en la mochila.

    Ana says: Look in the backpack.

11. ¡Aquí está!, dice Valentina; el libro está en la mochila.

    "Here it is!" says Valentina; the book is in the backpack.

12. Ana se sienta a su lado y ellas leen una página juntas.

    Ana sits beside her and they read a page together.

13. Luego Valentina guarda el libro, apaga la lámpara y cierra los ojos.

    Then Valentina puts the book away, turns off the lamp and closes her eyes.

14. Todo está en calma y el dormitorio es tranquilo otra vez.

    Everything is calm and the bedroom is quiet again.
