Le parking de nuit de Hugo

  1. Le soir, dans la chambre de Hugo, la lampe est douce.

    In the evening, in Hugo's room, the lamp gives a soft light.

  2. Il y a des véhicules en jouet sur le tapis.

    There are toy vehicles on the rug.

  3. Hugo a une idée pour dormir en paix.

    Hugo has an idea to sleep peacefully.

  4. Il va ranger tous les petits amis sur un parking de nuit.

    He will park all the little friends in a night parking area.

  5. Il prend son premier jouet: une petite voiture rouge.

    He takes his first toy: a small red car.

  6. Il sourit et la pose bien droite.

    He smiles and puts it upright.

  7. Puis, il pose un bateau bleu à côté.

    Then he puts a blue boat next to it.

  8. Un camion fait brum.

    A truck goes vroom.

  9. Un train chuchote tchou-tchou.

    A train whispers 'choo-choo'.

  10. Il gare aussi un vélo très léger.

    He also parks a very light bike.

  11. Un avion se repose comme un oiseau.

    A plane rests like a bird.

  12. Un hélicoptère se pose tout doux.

    A helicopter lands softly.

  13. Un gros poids lourd attend sa place près du mur.

    A big truck waits for its spot by the wall.

  14. Mais la place est petite, et le poids lourd ne trouve pas d'endroit.

    But the space is small, and the truck can't find a place.

  15. Maman entre et regarde le tapis avec Hugo.

    Mum comes in and looks at the rug with Hugo.

  16. Elle dit: on met le train sous le lit, comme dans un tunnel.

    She says, "We put the train under the bed, like in a tunnel."

  17. Alors, Hugo pousse doucement le train, et une place s'ouvre pour le poids lourd.

    Then Hugo gently pushes the train, and a space opens up for the big truck.

  18. Tout est rangé et la chambre est calme, Maman chuchote bonne nuit, et Hugo ferme les yeux.

    Everything is tidy and the room is quiet. Mom whispers good night and Hugo closes his eyes.
