De foto van opa

1. Bram woont met zijn ouders in een rustig huis.

   Bram lives with his parents in a quiet house.

2. Vandaag komt zijn nicht Lotte op bezoek.

   Today his cousin Lotte is coming to visit.

3. Hij wil haar de foto van opa laten zien.

   He wants to show her the photo of Grandpa.

4. In de hal wijst Bram naar de lange gang.

   In the hallway Bram points to the long corridor.

5. Dit is de gang naar de woonkamer.

   This is the hallway to the living room.

6. De plant staat naast de blauwe kast.

   The plant is next to the blue cabinet.

7. In de woonkamer kijkt Lotte rond.

   In the living room Lotte looks around.

8. Ze vraagt: Waar is de foto van opa?

   She asks, "Where is Grandpa's photo?"

9. Bram denkt even, maar hij weet het nog niet.

   Bram thinks for a moment, but he still doesn't know.

10. Mama Eva komt uit de keuken.

    Mama Eva comes out of the kitchen.

11. Bram zegt: Mijn moeder weet de weg.

    Bram says: My mother knows the way.

12. Ze lacht en zegt: Ga rechtdoor tot de trap, dan naar boven en door de eerste deur.

    She laughs and says, "Go straight ahead to the stairs, then go up and through the first door."

13. Bram en Lotte lopen rechtdoor, langs de bank, en de trap op.

    Bram and Lotte walk straight ahead, past the bench, and up the stairs.

14. Boven, links van de deur, ligt het fotoalbum op de lage tafel.

    Above, to the left of the door, the photo album is on the low table.

15. Ze gaan zitten en kijken naar de foto, en Bram glimlacht, want ze hebben het samen gevonden.

    They sit down and look at the photo, and Bram smiles because they found it together.
