Defne’nin Dolabındaki Küçük Arayış

1. Akşam oldu ve Defne odasında sakin bir hazırlık yapmak istiyordu.

   Evening came and Defne wanted to get ready quietly in her room.

2. Yarın okula rahat giyinmek için kıyafetlerini seçmek istiyordu.

   They wanted to choose clothes to be comfortable at school tomorrow.

3. Odasında büyük bir dolap var.

   There is a big wardrobe in the room.

4. Defne dolabı açtı ve rengârenk bir etek gördü.

   Defne opened the wardrobe and saw a colorful skirt.

5. Yanında mavi bir pantolon ve yazlık bir şort vardı.

   She had blue pants and summer shorts beside her.

6. En altta da yumuşak bir kot pantolon duruyordu.

   At the bottom there was also a soft pair of jeans.

7. Defne parkta koşacağını düşündü ve kot pantolonu seçti.

   Defne thought she would run in the park and chose her jeans.

8. Sonra, "Bir de ceket olsun," dedi ve etrafa baktı.

   Then they said, "Let's have a jacket too," and looked around.

9. Ama ceket yoktu; nereye gitti?

   But the jacket was gone; where did it go?

10. "Ceketim nerede?" diye sordu.

    "Where is my jacket?" they asked.

11. Yatağın altında ve masanın yanında aradı.

    They looked under the bed and next to the table.

12. Sonra sol çekmeceye baktı, sonra sağ rafa uzandı.

    Then he looked at the left drawer, then reached for the right shelf.

13. Annesi Ayşe kapıdan girdi ve gülümsedi.

    Her mother Ayşe came in through the door and smiled.

14. "Ceket sandalyenin arkasında," dedi Ayşe; gerçekten oradaydı ve Defne sevindi.

    "The jacket is behind the chair," said Ayşe; it really was there and Defne was happy.

15. "Kalem kutun için cetvel de lazım," dedi Ayşe, "çekmeceye bakalım".

    "You need a ruler for your pencil case too," Ayşe said. "Let's check the drawer."

16. Defne ceketini, kot pantolonunu ve tişörtünü sandalyenin üstüne güzelce yerleştirdi.

    Defne neatly placed her jacket, jeans, and t-shirt on the chair.

17. Cetveli buldu, çantasına koydu ve annesine sarıldı.

    He found the ruler, put it in his bag, and hugged his mother.

18. Her şey hazır oldu, Defne yatağına uzandı ve odası sessizleşti.

    Everything was ready. Defne lay down in bed and her room grew quiet.
