Le pique-nique sous l’arbre

  1. Le jardin de la maison de Louis est calme ce soir.

    The garden at Louis's house is quiet tonight.

  2. Sous le grand arbre, Louis veut faire un petit pique-nique avec sa sœur Emma et Maman.

    Under the big tree, Louis wants to have a little picnic with his sister Emma and Mom.

  3. Ils sourient, et Louis pense déjà à la nourriture.

    They smile, and Louis is already thinking about food.

  4. Ils étalent une nappe sur l’herbe, et il y a une petite boîte avec du riz et des haricots.

    They spread a tablecloth on the grass, and there is a small box with rice and beans.

  5. Il y a aussi du pain et un œuf dans un panier.

    There is also bread and an egg in a basket.

  6. La voiture de Papa est garée près du portail, mais tout le monde reste dans le jardin.

    Dad's car is parked by the gate, but everyone stays in the garden.

  10. Soudain, une petite fourmi marche vers le gâteau et vers le burger.

    Suddenly, a little ant walks toward the cake and the burger.

  11. Louis se lève doucement, lève le pied et place le panier un peu plus loin.

    Louis stands up gently, lifts his foot, and places the basket a little further away.

  12. Maman sourit et dit de s’asseoir, et Louis a faim, mais il attend calmement.

    Mom smiles and tells him to sit down, and Louis is hungry but waits calmly.

  13. Ils partagent le pain, le riz et les haricots, et Emma goûte l’œuf avec un peu de sel.

    They share the bread, rice, and beans, and Emma tastes the egg with a little salt.

  14. Louis croque la pomme et donne la banane à Emma, et Maman presse un peu de citron vert sur la poire.

    Louis bites the apple and gives the banana to Emma, and Mom squeezes a little lime on the pear.

  15. À la fin, ils coupent le gâteau et gardent le bonbon pour demain, puis ils disent bonne nuit au grand arbre.

    At the end, they cut the cake and save the candy for tomorrow, then they say good night to the big tree.
