La tienda de Hugo y Lucía

  1. Es por la tarde, y Hugo está en la sala de su casa.

    It's late afternoon, and Hugo is in his living room.

  2. Él mira a su familia con una sonrisa.

    He looks at his family with a smile.

  3. Hugo tiene una hermana que se llama Lucía.

    Hugo has a sister named Lucía.

  4. Hugo quiere hacer una tienda de mantas para leer con Lucía.

    Hugo wants to make a blanket fort to read with Lucía.

  5. En la sala hay sillas y una sábana grande.

    In the living room there are chairs and a big sheet.

  6. Su padre Pablo trae pinzas y una linterna.

    Her father Pablo brings tweezers and a flashlight.

  7. Pero la sábana es corta y no llega al sofá, y la tienda cae.

    But the sheet is short and doesn't reach the sofa, and the tent falls.

  8. En ese momento, llega Leo, el amigo de Hugo, y pregunta si puede ayudar.

    At that moment, Leo, Hugo's friend, arrives and asks if he can help.

  9. Entre los tres, atan la sábana al respaldo, y la tienda queda firme.

    The three of them tie the sheet to the backrest, and the tent stays firm.

  10. Lucía enciende la linterna, y todo es suave y dorado.

    Lucia turns on the flashlight, and everything is soft and golden.

  11. Hugo mira la tienda y piensa: Es un hogar pequeño y feliz.
