Hannas leise Übung am Küchentisch

1. Es ist Abend am Küchentisch, und Hanna sitzt mit Mama.

   It's evening at the kitchen table, and Hanna is sitting with mom.

2. Hanna sagt: "Morgen spreche ich in der Klasse."

   Hanna says, "Tomorrow I will speak in class."

3. "Ich lerne neue Wörter," sagt sie leise.

   "I'm learning new words," she says softly.

4. Ein Wort weiß sie nicht, und sie denkt still nach.

   There's one word she doesn't know, and she thinks quietly.

5. Hanna fragt: "Wie sagt man dieses Wort?"

   Hanna asks, 'How do you say this word? '

6. "Kannst du es langsam sagen, bitte?"

   "Can you say it slowly, please?"

7. Mama nickt und spricht sehr klar, und Hanna hört genau zu.

   Mom nods and speaks very clearly, and Hanna listens carefully.

8. Mama erzählt eine kleine Regel mit einem Bild.

   Mom tells a little rule with a picture.

9. "Wir üben jetzt kurz," sagt Mama freundlich.

   "We'll practice for a bit now," says Mom kindly.

10. Hanna lächelt: "Jetzt kann ich das Wort sagen!"

    Hanna smiles: "Now I can say the word!"

11. Sie spricht den Satz noch einmal ruhig, und Mama lächelt.

    She says the sentence once more calmly, and Mom smiles.

12. Am Küchentisch räumen sie die Tassen, und Hanna fühlt sich bereit für morgen.

    At the kitchen table they clear the cups, and Hanna feels ready for tomorrow.
