View translation pageNoah’s Rainbow at Bedtime
It is bedtime in Noah's room.
Noah wants to draw a quiet rainbow to say good night.
He opens a box of crayons and smiles.
"This rainbow will be for us," he says to his sister, Emma.
There are yellow star stickers on the wall above the bed.
A red toy car sits on the shelf.
A blue book waits next to a green plant.
Milo, the gray cat, curls on a pink pillow.
Emma holds an orange ball and laughs softly.
Noah lifts a black pen, and a brown teddy sits on the chair.
He cannot find the purple crayon, and he frowns.
"Is it under the bed?" Emma asks.
Noah looks, and there is a little roll and a soft tap.
The crayon slides out with his grey socks, pushed by Milo's paw.
"Thank you," Noah says, and he draws the last line.
The rainbow is bright and simple, and everyone is calm.
He puts the picture on the wall by the stars, and they are ready for sleep.
Noah whispers, "Good night," and the room is quiet.
The ball is brown.
The sky is gray.
The dog is grey.
The pink car is fast.
