I noticed. Yet I wonder whether such formal training really substitutes for the lessons one absorbs through actual experience.

A reasonable question. Still, structured learning provides a framework that experience alone rarely supplies.

True, but frameworks can also constrain originality. The most innovative thinkers often emerge outside conventional curricula.

Perhaps. However, by the time most of us recognise our blind spots, a workshop has usually already clarified them for us.

True, though a skilled facilitator can certainly prompt such reflection if the participants are sufficiently open.

A significant qualification. Most participants, in my observation, attend primarily to satisfy some external requirement.

That's a cynical reading, but not inaccurate. Genuine curiosity is, regrettably, far rarer than mandatory attendance.

Indeed. Were curiosity more widespread, real improvement would follow almost automatically .

Then perhaps the institutions should focus on cultivating curiosity first, rather than measuring outputs alone.

A wise suggestion. Without genuine motivation, even the best methods eventually yield disappointing results.
