Verhaal

Ava's Quiet Plan for the Morning Trip

1. It is evening on the front steps of Ava's house.

   Het is avond op de stoep bij Ava's huis.

2. Their street is quiet and soft with lights.

   Hun straat is rustig en zacht verlicht.

3. Ava and Tom plan a trip to the airport tomorrow, and they will go in the morning.

   Ava en Tom plannen morgen een reis naar het vliegveld en ze gaan 's ochtends.

4. Tom checks the car, but it does not start.

   Tom controleert de auto, maar hij start niet.

5. "Can we go?" Ava asks.

   "Kunnen we gaan?" vraagt Ava.

6. They walk to the gate and look down the road.

   Ze lopen naar de poort en kijken de weg af.

7. A taxi passes by, its light warm like a star.

   Een taxi rijdt voorbij, zijn licht is warm als een ster.

8. Ava waves, and Tom laughs softly.

   Ava zwaait, en Tom lacht zachtjes.

9. "We can call a taxi in the morning," Tom says.

   "We kunnen 's ochtends een taxi bellen," zegt Tom.

10. "It will take us to the airport," he adds.

    Het brengt ons naar het vliegveld, voegt hij toe.

11. Ava nods and smiles.
