Lena und die drei Buchstaben

  1. Es ist Abend im Kinderzimmer von Lena.

    It's evening in Lena's bedroom.

  2. Martin ist ihr Papa, und Max ist ihr Bruder.

    Martin is her dad, and Max is her brother.

  3. Lena hat bunte Karten mit Buchstaben auf dem Bett.

    Lena has colorful cards with letters on the bed.

  4. Sie übt heute die harten Buchstaben: Q, W und X.

    She is practicing the hard letters today: Q, W and X.

  5. "Wie klingt das Q?", fragt Lena und sieht die Karten an.

    "What does the Q sound like?" asks Lena, looking at the cards.

  6. Martin lächelt und sagt: "Schau in das Buch auf dem Tisch."

    Martin smiles and says, 'Look in the book on the table.'

  7. Da ist eine Qualle im Bild, und Lena flüstert: "Q wie Qualle."

    There is a jellyfish in the picture, and Lena whispers, 'Q as in "Qualle."'

  8. "Ich kann Wind machen," sagt Max, und er pustet leise: "W wie Wind."

    "I can make wind," says Max, and he blows softly: "W as in wind."

  9. Alle lachen, und Lena schreibt ein großes W auf eine Karte.

    Everyone laughs, and Lena writes a big W on a card.

  10. "Und X?", fragt Lena.

    "And X?" asks Lena.

  11. Max zeigt auf sein Namensschild und ruft sanft: "Da steckt ein X in MaX."

    Max points to his name tag and says softly, 'There is an X in MaX.'

  12. Unter dem Regal liegt ein kleines Xylophon, und Lena spielt zwei Töne und gähnt glücklich.

    There is a small xylophone under the shelf, and Lena plays two notes and yawns happily.
