Jonas sucht sein Buch

1. Es ist Abend, und Jonas ist in seinem Zimmer.

   It is evening, and Jonas is in his room.

2. Es gibt ein Sofa, einen Tisch und ein Bett hier.

   There is a sofa, a table, and a bed here.

3. Er hat ein Buch und will jetzt lesen.

   He has a book and wants to read now.

4. Doch das Buch ist weg.

   But the book is gone.

5. Wo ist das Buch?

   Where is the book?

6. Jonas sucht zuerst auf dem Tisch.

   Jonas looks on the table first.

7. Er schaut unter dem Sofa, aber er findet es nicht.

   He looks under the sofa, but he doesn't find it.

8. Mama Anna kommt leise und lächelt.

   Mama Anna comes quietly and smiles.

9. Sie hebt die Decke auf dem Sofa an und sagt: 'Hier ist es!'

   She lifts the blanket on the sofa and says, 'Here it is!'

10. Das Buch ist unter der Decke, ganz nah am Bett.

    The book is under the blanket, very close to the bed.

11. Jetzt kann Jonas lesen, und Mama sitzt neben ihm.

    Now Jonas can read, and Mom sits next to him.

12. Sie lesen nur ein bisschen, dann wird Jonas müde.

    They read just a little, then Jonas gets tired.

13. Morgen lesen sie im Wohnzimmer.

    Tomorrow they will read in the living room.

14. Jonas legt das Buch auf den Tisch und schläft im Bett ein.

    Jonas puts the book on the table and falls asleep in bed.
