আর্টিকেল হল ইংরেজিতে ছোট শব্দ (a, an, the), যা বিশেষ্যের আগে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এগুলো দেখায় আমরা কিছু নির্দিষ্ট না সাধারণ বিষয়ে কথা বলছি।
কখন এটি ব্যবহার করবেন
'a' বা 'an' ব্যবহার করুন যখন কিছু নির্দিষ্ট নয় বা প্রথমবার উল্লেখ করা হচ্ছে। 'the' ব্যবহার করুন যখন কিছু নির্দিষ্ট বা ইতিমধ্যে জানা।

টিপস
- 'a' ব্যবহার করুন যেসব শব্দ ব্যঞ্জনধ্বনিতে শুরু হয় (a dog, a house)।
- 'an' ব্যবহার করুন যেসব শব্দ স্বরধ্বনিতে শুরু হয় (an apple, an hour)।
- সাধারণভাবে কথা বলার সময় অধিকাংশ বহুবচন বা অগণনীয় বিশেষ্যের আগে 'a', 'an', বা 'the' ব্যবহার করবেন না (I like books, Water is important)।
ব্যতিক্রম ও বিশেষ অবস্থা
- কিছু শব্দ স্বরবর্ণ দিয়ে শুরু হলেও ব্যঞ্জনধ্বনি থাকে (a university, a European)।
- কিছু শব্দে 'h' নীরব থাকে এবং 'an' ব্যবহৃত হয় (an hour, an honest man)।
